Locksmiths Being Hit By Fraudulent Google Clicks

Why does it always seem that you spend too much on Google Adwords and not get the return that you know you should.

Fraudulent clicks on Google Adwords is not something new. It has being around for many years. Supission would lead to your competitors or possible click houses being employed by your competitor or other advertisers.

The bones of it all would be as follows:

Set up an Adwords campaign with Google allowing you to advertise for keywords as and when they are searched by a perspective customer. The idea is that you can bid on keywords allowing you to gain a position, the higher you bid the higher your add will be shown.

If you competitor bids higher then you then there adds will be shown above yours. There is certain criteria which can also have an effect on how high your add can be shown and the related cost, age of your adds, content of your adds, content on your website and how relevant your adds are to the keywords you are bidding for. You will be given a quality score by Google for each add and this can also determine the cost.

Fraudulent clicks tend to be high, however the trick is to monitor the ip address it which are logging on to you website. An IP address log can be obtained form your website hosting company.
While the top three positions appear to gain the most business this is not nesasssarly the case. For most businesses it can be a case that a customer can be familiar with a business name and simply clicks them for that reason. By bidding higher will not nessaraly get you a top position either.

However there is a fact that by continuing to increase your bid will for sure cost you an arm and a leg as your competitor is sure to follow. The only sure way to spend a reasonable cost is to have a strategy as opposed to just bidding to be number one.

While this may sound easy it is not. This can only be achieved by experience of by employing an expert with in the field. By way of looking at the trends and market can save you a signifent amount of time and of course allot of wasted cost. By not doing so will cost you allot of time and allot of cost. Bidding high when the market is slow is a sure way to double your cost and show your hand to your competitor.

Like everything these days there are ways to track and get refunds for fraudulent clicks. One is by keeping an eye on your IP address on your website, however this can prove to be timely and not cost effective. The second one is to put a third party software package on the backend of your website, this will in fact be by far the most cost effective way to monitor the fraudulent clicks.

At the end of a month you can either compare the fraudulent address to that of Google or you can submit an investigation on a regular basis to Google insuring you are getting the refund for the unwanted clicks.

Below is a recent list of IP address that have being logged as fraudulent clicks through an Adwords campaign.

Notice that there are similarities in the ip address as the culprits can sometimes use software or devices to change there IP address.

Dyno Locks Locksmiths Hackers Attempts Daily

Over the last few months Dyno locks have noticed a big increase in the attempt of hackers attempting to hack our website. Is it our competition within the locksmith industry attempting to employ a tactic so they can get to a number one position or first page ranking ? Or is it just down to the fact that they are attempting to destroy the creditability of a good name ?.

While it may not have anything to do with the competition at all and simply got to do with the make up of the site and its past vulnerability we still cant but think to what extent a competitor will go to. In recent years we have also encountered where a competitor has engaged or it would appear they have purchased to have 10,0000 or more doggy backlinks directed to our site with the intent of having the site get poor rankings or fall from its position in a natural listing.

Has website security become important i believe so. More so now then ever.

Below are a list of attempted hackers in the last month to our website.

Top Locksmiths in Dublin

In the ancient world, locksmiths were regarded at par with other artisans and craftsmen. They were a bit of a novelty, whose primary job was to create intricate and customised mechanical locking systems for the royalty and the noblemen. The best of them were close confidants of the wealth and power keepers of their times.

Locksmith services in this day and age too, are not a small-time amateur’s game. It has become a highly specialised industry, with equally skilled professionals running the show. State of the art technology has aided this age-old profession to transform into a hi-tech security installation and maintenance industry that provides a wide range of services to a highly diverse customer base.

Services Rendered

From basic lock making, picking, repairs, replacement, and even lock cleaning, to taking care of complex security systems – complete with alarms, access control, closed circuit television et al, modern locksmith services have become an essential part of the functioning and maintenance of any building under private ownership, be it residential or commercial. In addition, most professional locksmith companies offer 24 hours emergency services to their customers, which includes unlocking safes, door and window locks, auto locks on various types and brands of cars, filing cabinets, padlocks, desks, and even computers.

Emergency Locksmith Services

Emergency services are the most challenging of all locksmith services, particularly because of their round the clock demands. Those who provide these services however, earn good money due to the inherent emergent nature of such situations. Lock picking and breaking-in demands a lot of skill and practice, and that can be acquired only through several years of specialised training. An expert locksmith can pick a lock in a matter of minutes, although a lot depends on the complexity of the locking system and the uniqueness of the situation. Most well-established home and auto locksmith companies hire and nurture only certified and bonded lock picking experts.

Home, Office and Auto Locksmiths in Ireland

A round the clock locksmith service performs legally, and on invitation – what a burglar or a break-in thief does illegally and intrusively. The advances in technology in locks and security systems these days have made such emergency services highly specialised and skill-intensive. It is no longer about assistance just with a locked-up vehicle or a house. Modern locksmith companies have become more like security consultants who also provide comprehensive hardware, installation, and maintenance services to individuals and businesses. Following is a brief description of some of the services they offer:

Lock Picking

When was the last time you locked your car, and forgot to take the keys out? Or, got locked out of a room in your house? Such things happen more often than people realise. And when they do, it usually is a fruitless exercise trying to jimmy your way in. Lock picking is both an art and a science, one which needs considerable amounts of skill, practice and experience. Professional locksmith companies employ highly trained general and auto locksmiths who can get the job done in a matter of minutes. These services come in handy especially when there are valuables or important items in question, like in safes. Using state of the art technology, virtually any lock, and almost anything can be broken into.

Safe Installations and Break-ins

Top locksmith companies install, maintain, and if required – break into, a wide variety of and range of safes, such as free-standing and cash safes, under-floor and wall safes, fire resistant safes, reconditioned safes, gun cabinets, and even time locked safes that are meant for commercial purposes. Safes fitted by professional and accredited locksmiths always meet requisite insurance standards.

Alarms, Access Control and CCTV

A well rounded security system can be a really important tool against break-ins and burglaries in homes and offices. Investing in a professionally installed alarm system, access control and closed-circuit TV is a great long term move for any house owner or business. What is crucial, however, is to make sure that the installation and maintenance is carried out by a company with a well-known pedigree in building-protection and the highest level of professional standards.

The qualities that make a good locksmith

Most companies would promote their locksmiths as the best in the business but the veracity of such claims can be judged only by the quality of work and other such factors listed below, describing the various traits that a good locksmith must possess.

Professionalism

The most important requirement to become a good locksmith is professionalism. If a locksmith is needed at a particular place and time, it is important that he arrives on time, and with the necessary equipments. He should be polite and must carry the company’s badge or some sort of identification. This is important for the client in order to be certain of the locksmith’s identity and reliability.

Technical knowledge

Skills and knowledge are important requirements for a locksmith. Although most locksmiths have undergone training and can handle cases pertaining to security locks and making duplicate car keys, but only a good locksmith possesses the right mix of capability and knowledge.

Prompt service

Ideally a locksmith provider agency should provide prompt service. Emergencies can strike without prior warning and therefore a locksmith service should be emergency ready.

Flexibility is very important. A locksmith agency that provides 24 hour service is the one you can trust and rely upon.

Certification by a trusted body is a proof of the credibility of the agency. Locksmiths in Dublin and the rest of Ireland require to be certified by organisations such as the ALOI (Associated locksmiths of Ireland).

Locksmith Cons Customer Using Dyno Locks Trade Mark Name

In the early part of the year we received an am call to Dyno Locks to assist in man locked in a toilet in his home. Our log system shows a quotation given on that time. It appears that customer was not happy to pay our call out labour fee. Some two months later we received a call from the customer requesting that he had not received a receipt and he had spoken to our engineer on more than one occasion requesting the receipt. He was pointing out that he had not received one on the day. The engineer whom he had spoken to had stated he would get a receipt sent out to him on both occasions. However the customer never received it and had now decided to make an official complaint to the office. Having received the complaint we followed procedures requesting name, date, address and contact number as to whom he had being making contact with, as all jobs are logged on our system. We explained to the customer that we will identify the job through his details. We had pointed out to the customer that we don’t encourage the customer to call engineers direct. However it had now transpired that the customer did not use Dyno Locks. We had identified by way of not having his details on file but had the log of receiving the call. He had in fact used another business whom he says lead him to believe that he was using our company Dyno Locks.

After a lengthy discussion we advised the customer to take the mater up with them. The customer was not happy to agree for us to pursue the matter and take legal action against the other party.

Dyno Locks is a registered trade mark and registered under ISO9001, we will always give a customer a receipt and keep records of each and every job we complete. Dyno locks will pursue through the courts any locksmith who attempts to use its good name.

7 Useful Tips for Safeguarding Your Home While Travelling

Taking precautions for a safe and secure home while you are travelling is quite important to ensure your peace of mind and an enjoyable getaway. As the holiday time approaches, a number of people head out of town for a family vacation or to visit their relatives. For keeping your home from thefts, follow the following useful, foolproof, and easy-to-implement tips for safeguarding your property and valuables.

Tip #1: Start Preparing in Advance

With all the excitement of leaving for a vacation, securing your home is often neglected and becomes an afterthought. You can opt for installing a new home security system or updating the existing one, however you have to do so well in advance so that you and your family members are well acquainted with the system and its features properly. It is advised to get that done a month to three months before leaving for your holiday trip.

Tip# 2: Take care of your mails and newspapers

You can ask your trusted neighbour to retrieve your daily newspapers and your mails. This is the best option instead of cancelling the newspapers as it can give indication or alert to your newspaper boy or a postal employee that you are gone and there will be no one in the house for quite a number of days. Make these arrangements about a week ahead of your departure.

Tip# 3: Don’t be an Easy Target

For achieving this objective start with the exterior of your home. You have to make sure that your home looks lived in. Depending on the time of the year, for instance, if you’re going to have some snowfall possible, make sure to hire somebody there to clear your driveway and steps. In summers, have a landscaper mow your lawn. You can also unplug your garage door openers and have your neighbour park their car in your driveway.

Use motion-sensor and timer varieties outdoor and indoor lighting systems to prevent burglars from sneaking onto your home under cover of darkness. It is important to check all your doors, locks, and deadbolts for optimum security. If needed, replace your old locks as they easy to kick in. Lastly, make sure that you haven’t left spare keys to the house in your specific hiding places around the home’s exterior or easily accessible or obvious areas.

Tip# 4: Compare and Get the Best Security Products

A huge range of advanced home security products is available these days in the market for any type of home and budget. If you’re planning to purchase one before you leave for vacation, spare some time to shop around for finding the most suitable and efficient lock system. You can find useful reviews on sites such of renowned locksmiths in Dublin and locksmiths in Ireland. You can hire professional locksmith service to get the best quality locking solutions at affordable prices that will successfully safeguard your home while you are away. Do the final checks, go through your home for double checking all doors and windows are closed, locked and secure.

Tip# 5: Prevent your Home against Any Type of Fire and Flood Hazards

It is better to look for a 24-hour fire protection monitor added in with your security system. For more safety options, you can also get sensors to monitor your home’s temperature. In this way, you can protect your home from cold conditions that might also lead to burst pipes and/or indoor flooding. In today’s age of smartphones, you can go an interactive security system that allows you to access your home anywhere, anytime via smartphones or personal computers. Through that, you can also access lights and appliances and can even set schedules to automate them. Particularly if you reside in an area where there are adverse temperatures, it will be worth to investigate this or a similar system to secure your home from flood damage through remote-access climate control. It is also advised to remove all unnecessary plugs from power points as well as your geyser in your home. It will not only save you on your electricity bill, but will also avert any powers surges or storms from damaging computers or televisions. But be careful not to unplug any alarm systems or backup generators by mistake.

Tip# 6: Trim Your Shrubs and Draw the Blinds inside Your Home

Bushes, shrubs and trees are the perfect places for any intruder to hide and camouflage signs of a break-in. It is recommended to trim back any overgrown vegetation in order to make your home’s windows, porches and doors visible to your neighbours and passer-bys. Also use shades, drapes and other window treatments to keep latent tempting household items out of view. These initiatives however won’t cost anything, yet can be useful in making your property much less attractive to a burglar.

Tip# 7: Don’t Spread and Share Your Travelling as well as Home Security Plans

Last but the most important tip is not to broadcast your travel plans as well as home security plans only on a need-to-know basis. No matter, how much excited you are regarding your vacations, don’t tell everyone about the same and keep the important information only to yourself. Don’t activate your voicemail messages to show that you’re out of town. Avoid posting your trip plans on social media sites like Facebook and Twitter. Spreading your absence plans to a number of people is not a great idea. Only inform your trusted neighbours who will take care and keep a watch on your property while you are away.
